It means using every shred of cloth, paper, plastic, metal for the survival of somebody else.
Recycling takes on a whole new meaning in a country like India where some children have no clothes to wear in the cold winters and where a basic necessity like sanitary napkins are an unaffordable luxury for some women.

GOONJ, which means resonance, is an amazing organisation that recycles what is not needed by some, into a
lifeline for others. They collect tens of thousands of kilograms of cloth every month, turning them into something useable for the very poor - clothing, bags, sanitary napkins, anything.
