Recently, Anshu Gupta, the amazing founder of GOONJ was in town. After he left, leaving a deep impact on everyone he d met, a handful of us were sending out our heartfelt thanks to everyone who d helped. It was then that we all realised how beautifully things had fallen into place. One email led to a chain of emails connecting friends from different facets and times in our lives. Synchrodestiny is a fusion of time and space, place and intention when our paths cross, meet, meld, creating energy with others that impacts our lives. It could be selfless or with motive; we may be aware or unaware. But the journey towards self awareness will be marked by the resonance of that point of energy. Synchrodestiny is simply the universal consciousness tapped into our collective energy. Things happen for a reason. Sometimes it is obvious immediately, sometimes it takes a while, and sometimes we continue on our journey unaware of the effect it has made to our existence. But this effect is a collective impact. It is not always singular or between two energies. There is a ripple effect.

You know from science that all natural and man-made phenomena are ultimately vibrating particles of energy. Like all vibrations in this universe, and in keeping with science and quantum physics, vibrations do not just move or stagnate on their own. They have the effect of creating waves. Strike a tuning fork in a laboratory, a spoon to a glass or just chant Om and you will notice the continuation of vibration. So, when a particularly strong, heartfelt vibration is sent out, the universe picks it up. The resonance of that vibration is then projected from the source, to the recipient and then in a ripple effect all over and back to the source. Like a ripple in a lake spreading from one shore to the other in ever increasing circles until it is so wide it hits both shores simultaneously. That is Synchrodestiny.

Positive words, thoughts, deeds and action towards our self, family and community, whether selfless or with good motive, radiate out in ripples to the greater world. I work hard and my earning looks after the needs of my family. So to be good at my job is critical dharma. Social service helps us to increase the levels of our consciousness. When we perform service with love towards parents, elders, family, friends and the community without any expectations in return, we have sent the most positive vibration to the universe. A resonance of this returns to us, manifold in its intensity, and greatly enhancing our sense of well being. A heightened awareness of self in the positive resonates with your mind, body and soul and as you then proceed through your day and week, everyone who comes in contact with you, is touched by it.

What is the most precious relationship in your life? Your family. Call each one you love or have not interacted with for a while. Speak to them with love. Tell them how much they mean to you

Begin your day with a positive thought. It could be as simple as: This day is going to be wonderful, at home, at work, at play, with friends. However your day pans out, remind yourself that it is a beautiful day. Watch as the universe sends you the very best. Seize those opportunities, do something beautiful in return.

Whatever else we are, no matter how much of a mess we may have made of our lives, it is always possible to tap into the part of the soul that is universal, the infinite field of pure potential, and change the course of our destiny.
